Abstract

This article evaluates the impact of Curricular Prioritization (CP) in Basic Education in the Province of Curicó, with the objective of analyzing the perceptions of Language and Communication teachers and Mathematics teachers, addressing aspects such as the impact of CP on learning, changes in methodologies and strategies, as well as advantages and disadvantages perceived in CP. This study was carried out through a qualitative approach, applying a semi-structured interview to teachers from municipal departments, subsidized private and private, who teach 6th grade. This yielded relevant data such as a negative view towards CP in both subjects, as well as a change in methodologies and educational strategies. It is concluded that, from the perspective of the participants, the teaching proposal, through the prioritized objectives of the Chilean Ministry of Education, is not adequate to obtain successful results in the students.
