Statement of Editorial Ethics and Good Practices
The Electronic Journal of Research in University Teaching (REIDU) expresses its commitment to achieve and promote standards of ethical behavior in all stages of the editorial process, for this, it is based on the procedures of Good Practices declared by the Ethics Committee in publications (COPE). According to the above, editors, evaluators and authors must assume the following responsibilities:
ETHICAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Papers sent to REIDU must describe in detail the procedures performed, which allow the replication of the reported results, in an objective way and commensurate with the results of the study. They must not contain false or misrepresentations, which constitutes unethical behavior.
Any idea or result mentioned or described in the article and that belongs to someone who is not a co-author in the article, or that has already been published, must be properly cited and referenced.
Author's Responsibilities
Authors must present original works, not partially or totally published in other journals and that are not under consideration or accepted for publication. They must also be the result of the work and / or ideas of the authors themselves, plagiarism is not accepted.
The authors, and in particular the corresponding author, undertake to mention all the people who have collaborated and contributed to the research and its results, and attests that all of them have known, studied and approved the content of the article, before it is sent for publication.
It is the obligation of the authors to indicate any conflict of interest or financial interest that may interfere with the results or interpretations of the research.
The authors undertake to actively participate in the peer review process, providing all requested information in a timely manner, being truthful and clear.
It is the responsibility of the authors to make all the necessary corrections or improvements, if an article is published and presents some type of spelling, conceptual or numerical error, and the authors warn it, they must notify as soon as possible to the Editorial Committee to activate the correction process.
Responsibilities of the Reviewers
The reviewers must contribute objectively to the decision-making of the editorial process, for this they undertake to make timely, clear, fair and precise observations. Always respectfully and constructively, without making value judgments of any kind. If a reviewer does not consider herself an expert or qualified to review the manuscript, she must report it freely and calmly to the Editorial Committee.
At all times, the reviewers must maintain complete confidentiality of all information provided in the process. They should not present a conflict of interest with the article, authors, funding source or otherwise.
Responsibilities of the Editor and Editorial Committee
The Editor (a) and the Editorial Committee assume the commitment to comply with all the rules, principles and procedures contained in this statement. It will act in a fair and objective manner in each of the stages, without establishing any type of discrimination of a political, religious, sexual orientation, gender, ethnic, geographical or other origin. It will only accept the publication of articles on their academic merit and without commercial or other influence, so they will be free from any conflict of interest. It will also try to avoid self-citations or irrelevant magazine citations in order to fraudulently raise the impact ratings of a particular author (or author) or magazine. The review process is established as double blind, which means that the authors and reviewers may not be revealed at any time. The commitment is also established not to reveal to any person the content of the manuscripts submitted to the editorial process.
Faced with claims of an ethical or conflictive nature, a commitment is established to adopt and follow the procedures set out in the editorial policy. Authors will always be given the opportunity to respond to any type of claim. The Editorial Committee will always be willing to publish amendments, corrections, clarifications and / or apologies if necessary.
The decision to accept, reject or conditional acceptance is the absolute sovereignty of the Editorial Committee, and will be based on its judgment regarding the contribution of the manuscript to the area of interest.
