About the Journal
Focus and Scope
REIDU is a free and open access electronic journal of a scientific-academic nature financed since 2019 by the Academic Vice President of the University of Antofagasta. Its mission is to be a means of disseminating knowledge in teaching and its objective is to promote a space for reflection, discussion and dissemination, at a local and global level, of issues that contribute to knowledge and improve the quality of educational processes in the context academic.
Its target audience is universities, researchers, undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate students, professionals in the area of university teaching and the general public interested in related topics.
REIDU only reserves all rights of reproduction of the content of the contributions and the opinions expressed by each author are their sole responsibility.
REIDU declares itself an open access journal and adheres to the BOAI definition (Budapest Open Access Initiative, 2002); this is that both authors and users have the right to "read, download, copy, distribute, print, search or link the full texts of these articles", indicating the source. It incorporates the OAI-PMH (Open Archive Initiative-Protocol for Metadata Harvesting) interoperability protocol with the possibility of obtaining different metadata formats.
REIDU is distributed under a Licencia Creative Commons Atribución-NoComercial-CompartirIgual 4.0 Internacional
REIDU works with the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) system, which guarantees the journal a permanent repository, and with the CLOCKSS system, a system based on the LOCKSS open source software developed at the Stanford University Library, which allows libraries to keep selected web magazines by regularly checking registered magazine websites for recently published content and archiving it.
REIDU receives articles in Spanish and English and is applying to different indexing catalogs. He is a member of CROSSREF.
REIDU publishes two issues a year, with a minimum of 8 articles per issue, and has a double-blind peer review system.
