An area plan for basic primary in natural sciences and environmental education was built in the educational institution Santa Marta, Colombia. The classroom project strategy was used considering the structure of the thematic units, the basic competency standards, the basic learning rights and the pedagogical knowledge of the teachers. The key themes identified were living beings, matter, the solar system, cells, sex education, ecology, and the environment. The pedagogical space that allows unifying teaching strategies and considering educational contexts was recognized as a key aspect.
